Where Cultures Meet

The Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Centre is a locally owned non-profit facility operated by the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society, whose mandate is the preservation and conservation of the Willow Cree First Nation, Métis, and Pioneer cultures, stories, and artifacts.

As you follow the circular path of the gallery, you will learn about the people, their religion, their education, the political period of upheaval of 1885, and the development of economic life.

The 24-metre tower completes the main gallery with artwork and artifacts depicting the Willow Cree First Nation, Métis, and Pioneer cultures and spirituality, with displays featuring the pre-historic to present day flora and fauna of the region. A stairway leads to the top for the tower with picture windows for a sweeping view of the countryside.

The Interpretive Centre lets you experience life in each society.
