Ways to Support the Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Centre

As a locally owned non-profit chartable institution, any help given to the Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Centre is greatly appreciated! If you are interested in supporting us, here are several ways you can help.

Become a member

Memberships are $10 a person or $20 for a family.  Included in your membership are voting rights at the Annual General Meeting, free admission to the Centre for the fiscal year, and a 10 % discount on purchases in the gift shop (excluding Scrimshaw artwork).

Make a charitable donation

As a registered charity, tax receipts can be issued for donations of $10 or more. We accept cash, cheque, credit card, and e-transfer.

Cheque or Money Orders: Please make cheque or money orders out to the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society and include the name you would like on the tax receipt as well as a return address.

Cash: Cash can be dropped off at the Centre during business hours. Please do not send cash in the mail.

Credit Card: You can make your credit card donation by phoning us at 306-467-2057 or toll free 1-866-467-2057.

E-transfers: E-transfers can be sent to duckmuf@sasktel.net.

Volunteer/Gifts in Kind

Volunteers are always welcome! Should you wish to join our volunteer team, please feel free to contact us.

The Centre will gladly accept gifts that will support our operations, services and programming. These gifts can include products or services such as equipment, advertising mediums, events or program planning, landscaping/maintenance services and much more.

Donate to the Collection

As part of the mandate, the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society collects historically relevant items, information, photos, and documents that complement the existing exhibits and storyline of the Centre. If you wish to make a donation of this kind, please feel free to contact us, and your request will be brought to the Collections Committee for review.

Purchase a Centennial Monument Plaques

You can purchase a brass plaque in memory of a loved one or someone who has contributed to the history of Duck Lake and the community. The plaques are $250 each and will include three lines of text. Your plaque will be placed on the Centennial Monument that was erected in the boulevard of the Centre for the public to view.

Wills and Bequests

You can help to ensure the sustainability of the Centre by leaving a gift to the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society. This can include property, investments, cash, or other assets. Your wishes for your bequest should be indicated in your will should you wish to do so. This can be your way of leaving a lasting gift to the Society to help secure the future of the Centre and the collection.
